Registered Massage Therapy: If you are suffering from muscle tightness, tension from overuse and/or stiff joints registered massage therapy can help you. I use a variety of hands on techniques to manipulate the soft tissues in your body (muscles, connective tissues, joints, tendons and ligaments) in order to provide therapeutic relief, decrease your pain and optimize health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. Massage therapy can aid in the recovery of injured tissues and overused muscles in the body.
Sports Massage Therapy: Delivered to athletes with the purpose of enhancing the athlete’s preparation for, or recovery from the physical demands of training or competition. Sport massage is applied through pre-event, inter-event, post-event and restoration/training massage techniques used primarily on-site at an event or at the host or team health care clinic. Local teams, clubs and individual athletes can benefit from sport massage therapy delivered by members of the Canadian Sports Massage Therapy Association (CSMTA).
Fascial Stretch Therapy: Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is a unique system of assisted table-based stretching. The stretching techniques are focused on releasing and mobilizing the fascia, joint capsule and other connective tissues that may be limiting your flexibility, strength and performance. Fascial Stretch Therapy can be combined with traditional registered massage therapy or can be offered independently in order to promote flexibility, reduce pain and optimize function within your body.
Joga: An athletic-based hybrid style of yoga that combines the discipline of yoga with the biomechanics of movement. It was designed for the body and mind of an athlete and the industry of sport.
Each movement has an athletic benefit and/or injury prevention component. The Joga system emulates cadence of sports movements and focuses on breath work, dynamic stretching, joint mobility and stability along with building strength and balance.
